The hostel is perfect for exploring the south area in Iceland, situated in a unique ancient elementary school with a fun common area. the private rooms are comfortable, and fresh bedsheets and towels are provided. Guests can also enjoy the school's gym and play basketball. Breakfast is offered and there are maps available in the room.
The bathroom could use some improvement in terms of cleanliness and there were no cubicles in the shower.

The value for money at Ljosafossskoli was exceptional, with clean and quiet rooms and a welcoming staff who went above and beyond for our 2-year-old. The location was perfect for exploring the golden circle, and the hostel even had an indoor gym to keep everyone entertained. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!
Breakfast delights, but could use more variety to make it even better.

We had an amazing stay at Ljosafossskoli! the architecture of the building was incredible, with high ceilings and spacious rooms. the shared toilets and bathrooms were plentiful and more than sufficient. the breakfast provided was enough for us, and the highlight of our stay was getting to see the northern lights at night. the location of the hostel was also perfect, situated in a quiet area just 20 minutes away from popular attractions like Hveragardi and Thingvellir. the lady in charge was very welcoming and gave us excellent tips on what to do and where to go. we loved our 2-night stay and would definitely return if we have the chance. Cons: Nothing I didn't like to be fair. 🤷♀️.

I had a great stay at a hostel in Selfoss. The location was a bit away from the main road, but that didn't bother me because it's Iceland after all! The hostel had everything I needed - clean rooms, showers, and even a desk in my room. The staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in late without any issues. I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting the area.

The hostel provided everything I needed for my stay, including a comfortable bed and a well-equipped kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my trip. the location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area, with easy access to key attractions and beautiful views.
There were a few minor issues that could be improved upon. The pillows were thin and not very comfortable, and the bunk bed was a bit noisy when I moved around.
